This is an Ayuthaya wood Buddha statue with southern art…Nakorn Sri Tammarat craft.

Look at the art and production. It looks good and is actually above folk art but still not a royal family item. Therefore, Jao Dang maybe refer to an aristocrat but not high ranking royal family. Jao is commonly used for one from nobles and low ranking royal families. If he is truly in high ranking it would be written in official name.

Translated inscription:

หลวงพ่อองค์นี้ เจ้าแดงซ่างไว้ในพุทธศาสนาไว้ให้ได้ นิพฺพานปจฺจโย โหตุ This Luang-por (This Buddha statue)Jao Dang (Royal Dang or may be mr.Dang) had build in Buddhist on wish to go the Nip-parn (Nibbānapaccayo hotu)
